Programs and services include:
Arts & Culture - Campus Involvement is a major contributor to the arts scene on the WSU campus. Each year, the Visual, Performing, and Literary Arts Committee (VPLAC) presents a series of performances; all relating to a central theme. Art à la Carte (in collaboration with the Museum of Art) is a series of noontime brownbag programs in the Bundy Reading Room in Avery Hall featuring local artists and WSU faculty and students.
ASWSU/Advising – Campus Involvement advises the ASWSU executive officers, Senate, and its more than 15 affiliated committees and service units. Click here for details about ASWSU Elections.
Compton Union Gallery presents work by local and visiting artists, student projects, traveling exhibits, and displays that are entertaining and educational. Until fall 2008, when it returns to its home, look for the “CUB Gallery on the Move…” Exhibits will be hosted at locations around campus including the Terrell Library Atrium, the lobby of the Student Recreation Center, the Museum of Anthropology, and Gallery II in the Fine Arts Building.
Cougar Leadership Program is committed to assisting students learn the foundations of leadership, engage people in the community, act as responsible leaders in their own communities, and develop themselves and others through hands-on activities and experiences beyond the classroom. CLP offers an organizational development series, conferences, a weekend institute, a leadership library, and on-line resources. CLP teaches students to serve as facilitators and consultants to other students, groups, and organizations.
Registered Student Organizations at Washington State University offers the opportunity to be involved in over 300 student organizations and clubs. Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) represent a full spectrum of student interests in areas that include cultural activities, academics, sports and recreation, religious, social, and many more. Additionally Campus Involvement coordinates the registration of events sponsored by student organization on and off campus. Image Shop is a student led self supporting graphic design service offered through Campus Involvement. ASWSU Committees, Registered Student Organizations, and university departments and units work with student designers to prepare and print flyers, brochures, posters, banners, ads, and more for all kinds of campus events, including celebrations, lectures, exhibits, awards, and performances.
Dad's Weekend, which occurs in the fall semester, and Mom’s Weekend, which occurs in the spring semester, have celebrated the connection between WSU students and their families for decades (or just the dad or mom if they can get away to come to campus on their own).
UP ALL NIGHT is a late night weekend entertainment series, providing WSU students with FREE food and activities. These themed programs offer variety in entertainment including movies, performances by live bands, comedians, and magicians, interactive games, arts and crafts projects, dance lessons, poetry slams, henna tattoos, College Bowl tournaments, fashion shows, and DJ dances. Look for twelve new Up All Night programs during the 2007-2008 academic year!
